October 2023 Schedule
Several days now with temperatures are now below 100 and fall season starts in just a few days (September 23) —
People are starting to come back to Trilogy Vistancia and we have a busy October with the Club!
ARTISANS LEAGUE OPEN STUDIO ( noon to 3pm) every Monday where you can work independently alongside your fellow artists in the Mita Studio!
October 2 – ADVANCED PAINTING WITH JOYE MELBY (9-12pm)- For those of you who have had some painting experience and want help exploring your personal journey as a painter. (4 sessions)
October 3 – BEGINNING PAINTING WITH JOYE MELBY (12-3p)- You will learn many of the different paint strokes, how to begin to mix and use color – and most important -you will paint! (4 sessions)
October 6 & 7 – WATERCOLOR WITH DEBORAH NIELSON (All Day for 2 days) – This class will be a lesson in negative painting, which consists of painting behind portions of the subject to bring out or enhance the subject matter using layer after layer of color. We will be working on a fall scene.
October 9 – POP UP “STILL LIFE” (3-5pm) – Joye will be setting up a still life for us to draw or paint. Come hang out with your fellow artisans while you use your chosen medium to recreate the still life in your own way!
October 20 & 21 – DAVID FLITNER: PAINTING BETTER LANDSCAPES (all day for 2 days) – Lighting, depth, mood, and atmosphere will be explored. David will discuss and demonstrate the use of these strategies to help you create a successful plan of action for your future landscape paintings. Helpful visual supports and personal instruction are included.
October 23 – MEMBER MEETING (3-5pm) – General Membership Meeting
October 25 – POP UP WITH JORGE “SELLING ON ETSY (3:30 – 4:30p) Ever wonder how or what to sell on Etsy?
October 28 – MONTHLY CRAFT WORKSHOP (1030am – 1pm) — In this Monthly craft workshop we will be creating mezuzas from different mediums.
October 30 – ART PLAY: VIS A VIS PENS (9-12pm)– Free Session to learn how to use this pen to create watercolor effects. It’s easy to do, let yourself go and make the ordinary extraordinary!
