“Introduction To Pastels- Still Life” With Michele Corsini

In this class Michele will introduce us to the beautiful medium of pastels. We will work from simple fruit or vegetables and learn how to prepare the paper and build up the composition, layer by layer, to produce a representational image. She will teach us how to use the pastels and the fundamentals of observing and translating that to mark making. Michele will ask students to not be too precious about their work, this is a fun workshop after all, where we have come to learn. No experience is necessary. All materials will be provided. If you have your own pastels you are welcome to bring them along. Michele teaches at the Sonoran Art League, her website is www.MicheleCorsini.com.
