April 2023 Update
Greetings Artisan League Members,
First, a reminder of that our General Meeting on Monday, April 17 at 2 pm.
We’re nearing the deadline for elections for the Artisans League and the Nominating Committee is still looking for a candidate for Vice President. In addition to filling in for the President when she/he is not available, the job entails working with the Program Committee.
Volunteering for a leadership position with the Artisans League provides a wonderful opportunity to create meaningful relationships with other artists that help you advance your skills and expand your community of practice and your community of friends. A couple of quotes come to mind:
Sherry Anderson: “Volunteers don’t get paid, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.”
Audrey Hepburn: “As you grow older, you will discover that your have two hands – one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.”
Elizabeth Andrew: “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.”
Albert Schweitzer: “Wherever you turn, you can find someone who needs you. Even if it is a little thing, do something for which there is not pay but the privilege of doing it. Remember, you don’t live in the world all of your own.”
It’s a great opportunity. I hope you will seriously consider volunteering.
