December Mix and Mingle Event
Happy Holidays to all Artisan League members,
The season is evident all around us and it’s time for us to celebrate with our art friends. I hope you have the Mix and Mingle event on your calendar, Wed, Dec. 6 from 3:30 – 5:00. We’ve done this once before and it was very successful, so we want to do it again.
Here are the details: Bring one of your current works to share with folks. We can use the ten easels that are in the studio but if you have one that’s easy to bring or if you have a table easel, please bring it.
The Wednesday painters will stop early on Wednesday so we can use the studio for our function, we are grateful to them. They will be in the studio until 3:30 so we’ll set up quickly when they are done with their work.
You may purchase your own beverage, cookies and chips will be available courtesy of the Artisans League. This is a social time, we’ll discuss the ArtWalk at a different time. Please join in the fun, show your work, and meet new friends.
Looking ahead:
Pop-Up Critique with Nicolette Bonnstetter, MA, Art Educator/University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has had ample experience with Jury Prep and Artist Critiques. You can volunteer to have your work critiqued, just contact Cappy Santini @ c.santini @ comcast.net. Nicolette’s style and expertise will make you feel totally comfortable to hear her talk about your work. The January date will be posted on the website.
Another Pop-Up experience…”Alcohol Inks” led by Lynne Zimmerman. Artisan’s League will pay most of the cost of materials. Cost to each individual attending will be $2.00. We again need you to contact Cappy @ c.santini@comcast.net so we know we have enough interest in this pop-up before we purchase supplies.
Other Pop-Up/Art Play experiences will be coming in the near future – for now, join us Wednesday!
Keep your art spirit alive, join in making the Artisans League an ever more vital organization.
