Biographical Info

I am a local artist working primarily with acrylics to bring forth the beauty of nature with uplifting colors that evoke joy.

I was 60 years old when I went to the paint and sip class which spawned my unlikely artistic journey. I spent my entire life believing I didn’t have an artistic bone in my body. In the summer of 2017, I took six art lessons from a local artist who taught me how to mix colors and create shapes and illusions.  I became addicted to creating colorful art.  I painted every day.  I painted everything.

Over my lifetime I have traveled extensively and embarked on many adventures.  I have visited and immersed myself in other cultures.  I scuba dive, snow ski, and hike.  It’s given me a world of color in nature and ideas to draw upon when I paint.  Once I began painting, my eyes opened up to the intricacies of my surroundings.  I absorbed more: color interactions, shapes, dark and light and the mood it creates.

I joined the Trilogy Art League and took advantage of art classes.  It is exceedingly difficult to create something unique which sets your work apart.  Over time, I’ve been able to create a collection of paintings that have a fresh unique style.

Whether it be recreating memories, developing gardenscapes with a fresh eye for color, or painting pictures of family pets, I love to test my boundaries.  I strive to continually keep my work current and refreshing and different.

Today, I live part time in Trilogy and part time in Oregon with my husband, Chet.  Long gone are the days of running a company, raising children, and volunteering abroad.  Now I travel for pleasure, stay healthy, enjoy my family, and paint, paint, paint.
