Continuing Pastels. February 6, 2026 from 10:00 to 2:00

In this workshop, we will continue our use of pastels and tackle the enduring subject of landscapes.

We take so many photos of beautiful scenery or moments that engage us. In this workshop, I invite you to bring along photos or images that interest you. I will teach you how to select and work from your photo references. Using underpainting and good value selection, you will build up your image using hard and soft pastels to realize your photo on paper.

I will also have photo references available and step-by-step instructions on how to go about painting a landscape.

This is a fun, relaxed class meant to be enjoyed on your own or with friends. I promise success!

Beginners and intermediate level welcome.

All student grade materials supplied.   (paper, sundries, student-grade soft pastels, hard pastel

Cost: $50.00 per student

6 Student minimum, 12 Student Maximum

Supply list:

• Photo references of landscape scenes that interest you. Either on your phone/ipad or printed.
• Apron, as pastels are dusty.
• Gloves and mask if that is your preference. (optional)
• Microfiber cloth to wipe fingers.
• Bring your own pastels if you have them. Artist-grade pastels offer more intense colours.
