Hello Artisans Members,

Just a few weeks  before we restart the full schedule here at  The Artisans League at Trilogy Vistancia!  Many of you are getting ready to take the trip back, and for those of us here – we are ready to have you back as it has been a bit quiet! 

Please read all of this as there is important and RELEVANT CLUB information  CHANGES at the end of this email.   

The planning committee has been hard at work getting activities ready for the club!

October 2025 Schedule Updates:

  • October 10 (Fri)  9am-11:30a:  Birch Trees Acrylic Tutorial Painting with Julie Larson  
  • October 14 (Tue)  1:00-200p – Mix and Mingle (Bring your latest piece!
  • October 21 (Tue) 12-3p – Crafting Workshop

November 2025:

December 2025

  • December 2 (Tue) 1:30-3:30 Membership Meeting
  • December 5 & 6  (Fri/Sat)  9a-1pm Beginning Watercolor Floral With Deborah Nielsen
  • December 9 (Tue) 12-3pm – PopUp: Alcohol Ink with Lisa Magrane
  • December 16 (Tues) 1-2:30p – Mix and Mingle (Bring your latest piece!)

PLEASE Keep in Mind:  Paid classes will charge an additional $10.00 PER CLASS to Trilogy residents that are not club members ( Artist will collect the full amount and then, at their discretion, give the club the additionally charged fee)   –  If the non-members take more than 2 classes, then it pays for them to get a membership!!!!

2025 Fall ArtWalk dates have been locked for a bit.  November 15 & 16, 2025    It will be again at the MITA Artisans Studio and Breezeway and Artist Home.   Call to Artists Registration will be sent to all current members on Wednesday, October 1 and it will close at noon on Tuesday Oct 14.     The ArtWalk committee had prepared drafts for marketing blurbs and is will be sending to the different publications and magazines 

Community Spotlight:  

Please take a look at the new Featured Artist on the Website – Learn about the talented Artist: Genevieve Hanna and if you missed a past featured artist you can check them on our website as well! 

The HOA is putting together a “Meet the Clubs”  on Saturday October 11 10a-12n   at the Kiva Tewa Room which we will be participating in — The event will highlight  and showcase the amazing variety of clubs in our community.   Hope you come and visit!

IMPORTANT NOTE ON CLUB LEADERSHIP CHANGE

The Club Board met on 9/11/2025 to kick off the new season and address important changes below – Minutes Meetings published here

This will be my last official communication as President of the Club. My wife and I are moving out of Trilogy on the 3rd week of October into a beautiful home in Cave Creek (one with a view of the mountains).   Transition of the different things I did are in progress.

  • Doug Hemler will be taking the Club President position Effective Oct 15, 2025.  
  • Trish King is taking the Club Secretary  position moving forward
  • Marie Britten remains as the Club Treasurer
  • Cappy Santini will continue to lead the Programming Committee with the help of several volunteers.
  • Trish, Cappy, Doug and others will be helping with the  ArtWalk in November 
  • I will continue to support  the webmaster position and ArtWalk activities as well as train as much as needed.  

Looking Ahead: I loved the interactions and support all of you provided me personally in this club.   I did not know I was an artist (doodlingjorge.com) and if it was not for this community and Art Club I would not have been.  THIS IS WHAT THIS CLUB IS ALL ABOUT! —   Helping each other, helping the new members, please continue to volunteer, speak up and make the club better!     Support your board – they really look out for you – and remember they are volunteers! I wish nothing but the best to The Artisans League at Trilogy in Vistancia – Such incredible talent here and so much potential.

A couple of asks:

  • The Artisans League owns 2 sets of mat cutting equipment. We need someone to show us how to use them. Please consider doing a Popup!
  • Help us all by presenting a Popup on “How to Finish your Artwork for Sale”.
