Fellow Art Walk Participating Artisans,

A few updates as of 10/28/2023 5:30pm…  t-minus 21 days!!   Getting ready?  How are you doing?

Lots happening behind the scenes!! 

Have created a single page on our website to consolidate and centralize available information for participants…

1) For those of you who ordered Artist Home Signs, they just arrived today! – You will receive an email early next week to coordinate pickup.
             (We printed a couple of extras in case of need – Just let us know!)

2) Mita related items:

• Mike met with lifestyle team for coordination –preparations have been “coordinated” 🙂
• Large Mita Sign to remind visitor about the participating artists at their houses in the neighborhood has been ordered.

3)  We plan to work on the initial revision of the map this coming week.   (no changes after 11/5/2023 to allow time prep and send to print!) 
      Please *make sure* your information is correct on the participants list (check your SHOW address!)

                      A couple of people has still available space to share on their house!   Send them an email!

4) Created an 8.5×11 flyer you can print at home (color or BW) to place in your exhibit that contains a QRCODE to the Public Page on the website:

• 2023-Fall Art Walk PUBLIC PARTICIPANT LIST & DOWNLOAD THE MAP
  • If your visitors, ask for a map, they can point their phones to the QRCode
    and they will get it on their phones!  (Saving a tree / maybe a forest!!)
  • You can also send this page to your friends and family via email or post on social media.
  • Note: Public facing map and participants pages will be updated next week, but the link, QRCode and page will not change!  

4) Marketing / PROMOTE / Spread the WORD!!!!    (No easy way to do this but brute force…. 🙂

• Start to tell everyone how excited you are about the Artwalk!   
• Wear your “Ask me about the ART Walk” button — Still a few available! 
• Small flyer handouts for the happy hours and Friday talks volunteers are now available!
  • (if you want some let us know!   You can also see the file here )
• Street signs locations and volunteers have been identified and communicated to.  (thank you!)

5) Branded Directional Signs:
They will not be required for this show!!  Note that we are likely to require them on the next Spring ArtWalk.

If you have a website, bio page you want us to link to on the PUBLIC Facing participants page – please reply to this email with it.  
(I forgot to ask you for this in the initial registration page!! So very sorry!)

Fellow 2023 Fall Art Walk Participants,

Thank you to all that attended the 2023 Fall Art Walk Participants meeting!
-It was good to see you all and see the Mita space so full!

A few of the points we talked about:

 55 artists signed up for the event! Woohoo!  
         4 of the 55 are new participants!

• Mita / Breezeway Area Update
  • Everyone that requested (17 of you!) to exhibit at Mita Breezeway got a spot!
    • During the meeting, several people switch to home so there a few less folks at Mita 
  • Seven spaces inside the Artisans Studio were assigned during the meeting.
  • There will be a large sign to remind visitors to check Home Artists
  • Important:
    • Nothing can remain behind overnight
    • Setup time:  8am every morning.  (no earlier) 
    • Teardown:   After 3pm  before 4pm (Other events happening)
• Marketing Report:
  • Check out our Spread the Word Page on the website.
  • Lynda reported multiple efforts underway to market the event both inside and outside the community.
  • Social media promotional graphics and sample text for your posting have been posted to the site – If you have any suggestions, please send them our way!
  • Ask Me About the Show Buttons were distributed.  (thank you Lynda!)

Requirements for everyone:  

• Prior to the event:
  • Tell friends, family and strangers inside and outside our community!
  • Mention it in parties and gatherings!
  • Help promote the event – / create buzz!
  • Wear the Ask Me About The Show Buttons that were distributed.  
• During the event
  •  For artists displaying at their house, they *must* use the official “Artist Home Site” sign.
  • Tell visitors people about Mita and other artists’ homes.
  •  Must stay open 9-3pm on Saturday and Sunday (Especially important at Mita !)
  •  Take photos of your exhibit – we need them for future event promotion!

Other Miscellaneous items covered:

• Street sign placement will be coordinated via assigned volunteers (expect an email soon!).
• People that ordered Artists Home signs have been communicated to, and signs should be arriving within the next week or so.
• Recommendation: Create one more to place at Safeway.
• Official Directional signs (work in progress still).  TBD for this event. (for sure for future events!)
• Discussion about consolidation of houses to make it easy for customers.
• Jorge will update the participants list on the site with emails (done).

• Contact the first timers to see if they need help.

• Begin to work on the orders for the signs, create the maps, and continue the work ahead of the event!

Update on the mandatory meeting for registered participants:
It will happen October 23 at 4:15p (instead of 5p) (after the General membership meeting) at the Artisan Studio in the Mita Club to discuss the show, answer any questions and help artists prepare for a successful show.  There is another club meeting at 5pm so will make sure we finish on time.

Please do not hesitate in contacting us if you have any questions, comments to make this a GREAT EVENT!

Fellow Artists,

The 2023 Fall Art Walk is scheduled for November 18 & 19, 2023 !

Artist participant registration is now OPEN!

The cost for artists to participate in this event is:

• $25.00 if you have already the standard brand Artist Home sign from last spring, or
• $60.00 which includes the $25.00 registration and the $35.00 cost for the sign if you do not have one already.

Please note that you must be a registered member and have paid the 2023 club member fees.

Registration will close at noon on October 17, 2023 (No Exceptions!), but the sooner you register the better!

On the 2023 Fall Art Walk, artists will be able to exhibit their art at home in their work from their garage, courtyard as well as in the limited space assigned to us at the Mita Art Studio and Breezeway area during those days. For those who select the Mita Art Studio/ Breezeway option, they will need to bring their own tablecloth and take down the setup on Saturday night and reset back on Sunday.    There is no secure room or space at the Mita Club or Artisans Studio to leave things there overnight. If we receive more artists request than we have available spaces, a raffle for the limited space will be held.

For those that register you will receive a nice “Ask me about the Trilogy Art Show” buttons   you can proudly wear, so you are recognized and help spread the word! 🙂
